New First Team Coach

We're excited to announce that Matthew Frost has joined Uni-Mount Bohemian AFC as our new first team coach ahead of the 2025 season.

Matt brings a wealth of coaching experience to the club, having previously led teams at various levels throughout Auckland. A holder of the NZ National Academy License, his impressive coaching career includes notable achievements such as guiding the AFF FTC U16s to national championship glory in 2013 and leading Central United's U19s to a cup final appearance in 2016.

Known for his progressive coaching philosophy, Matt favors an attacking style of play built from the back, with an emphasis on positional rotation and tactical flexibility. His approach to player development and tactical understanding aligns perfectly with our club's vision for the future.

"I like to coach players to have the freedom to use whatever skills they have to move the ball up the field in a prescribed way so that team mates can anticipate outcomes and react accordingly," says Matt, who also brings additional expertise as a certified strength and conditioning specialist.

With his proven track record in developing young talent and implementing successful tactical systems, we're confident Matt will be a valuable addition to our coaching staff as we look to build on our recent progress.

Please join us in welcoming Matt to Uni-Mount Bohemian AFC family!
